Barangaroo Ferry hub is one step closer to completion with the delivery and instalment of the first roof. The 33 x 13-metre structure, which will provide cover for customers as they move between the floating pontoons and the foreshore, was shipped across the harbour by barge from White Bay and then installed by crane.
The ferry hub’s two pontoons, with their roofs attached, are expected to be floated across from White Bay to Barangaroo in late February.
Barangaroo Ferry Hub will provide two new wharves for customers travelling to and from the inner harbour and Sydney’s west, and feature accessible pontoons, seated waiting areas and weather protection.
Customers can now connect easily between Barangaroo and the CBD via the new Wynyard Walk pedestrian link.
Completion of Barangaroo Ferry Hub is expected in March.
