All are invited to a special celebration to mark the first birthday of Sydney’s spectacular harbour headland park, Barangaroo Reserve.

WHEN: Sunday 21 August 2016 from 10am to 3pm
WHERE: Barangaroo Reserve

Free to the public, the family-friendly event will include a range of roving performances and fun activities throughout the day that will keep the family entertained.
The celebrations start at 10am with a Welcome to Country on Walumil Lawn and a performance by Sydney Children’s Choir overlooking Sydney Harbour, followed by the cutting of the birthday cake and giveaway of 3,000 free birthday cupcakes (first come first served).

Kids aged 1-12 years can play in the Pop Up Nature Playground (the Cutaway, 10am-3pm) where a giant sand pit and landscape garden will keep the kids busy for hours, while explorers can join the Orienteering Race around Barangaroo Reserve (the Cutaway, 11am-3pm) to see the new natural parkland like never before.

A delicious selection of food and beverages are available to purchase on the day, however visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the last day of Sculpture at Barangaroo, a free outdoor exhibition presented in partnership with Sculpture by the Sea.
