Minister for Multiculturalism Ray Williams today announced $300,000 in grants is available for eligible multicultural projects that strengthen social cohesion in NSW.
“Grants of up to $40,000 are available for year-long projects that will have long-lasting positive impacts on our society,” Mr Williams said.
“This funding will strengthen our multicultural society by supporting communities to address new and emerging issues and opportunities.
“Grants will be assessed against strategic priorities which include building cross-cultural community networks and supporting communities who speak a language other than English.
“I especially encourage regional, new and emerging communities to apply for this program.”
Multicultural NSW project-based grants have previously supported youth engagement and empowerment programs, refugee and asylum seeker projects and volunteering programs.
The Multicultural NSW Celebrating Diversity Projects grants program particularly supports projects that demonstrate collaborative relationships and partnerships between the private sector, community and non-government organisations.
Applications are now open and will close 5pm on Friday 14 December 2018.
