PolArt Adelaide Information Release
The PolArt Adelaide Committee would like to thank everyone for the support shown since the announcement that PolArt will be held in Adelaide, and we appreciate the community’s ongoing patience as we continue to work diligently on delivering the next festival.
As we move forward with preparations, we wanted to share the following updates:
Planning for 2025
We recognise the significance of having PolArt take place in 2025, especially as it marks the festival’s 50th year. With this in mind, we are working extremely hard towards having the festival run in 2025, with the proposed dates being 27th December 2025 to 6th January 2026 (subject to change).
Committee Elected
We are pleased to announce that a dedicated committee has been elected to lead the festival preparations and execution, and Rules of Incorporation have been lodged. The committee will leverage the diverse expertise and skillsets of its members, and is committed to delivering a successful and memorable PolArt festival in Adelaide.
Website Launch Updated
As part of the unveiling of our new branding, and in our ongoing efforts to keep the wider community informed, we will be launching an interim landing page for PolArt Adelaide. This page will feature the Expression of Interest (EOI) form, allowing us to capture interest in participation for the festival. In the new year, we will launch a full-scale website that will house the latest news and announcements, with the goal of establishing it as the central hub for all festival-related updates.
The landing page can be found here: www.pol.art
Expression of Interest (EOI) Form Now Available
The Expression of Interest (EOI) form for PolArt Adelaide is now available on the festival’s landing page. This form is essential for all participants wishing to take part in the festival under the three main artistic categories: folkloric dance, visual art, and theatre. Additionally, other artistic forms will be assessed and considered. We welcome submissions from performers and artists residing in both Australia and New Zealand.
To express your interest in participating in the PolArt Adelaide 2025 festival, please complete the form in full. Submissions for Expressions of Interest will close on 30 November 2024. Timely returns of EOI forms will greatly assist us in progressing with the planning of the festival.
Transport & Accommodation
We are currently exploring accommodation options used in previous festivals and have engaged an accommodation broker to provide a range of choices for interstate groups. Additionally, we are in discussion with various transport companies to determine viable services for groups during their stay in Adelaide. More details regarding both accommodation and transport will be provided as they become available.
Launch of Official PolArt Adelaide Branding
We are proud to present the official branding and visual direction for PolArt Adelaide. The illustrated graphic, which forms part of the logo, as well as the chosen typeface, references the distinct graphic styling of Polish design and craft, which is bold and world-renowned. The ‘retro’ feel to the branding, including the colour palette, is a nod to the 70s, the birth decade of PolArt, a significant milestone to pay homage to in the festival’s 50th anniversary year.
A comprehensive background on the design is included in a separate document, attached to this email.
We will share these updates via social media shortly. We kindly ask that you do not disseminate this information on your social media channels until we have updated our Facebook and Instagram, which is scheduled to occur at 5.00pm (ACDT) this evening.
We would once again like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your patience and understanding as we advance with the planning and preparations for PolArt Adelaide. We remain excited about the journey ahead and look forward to sharing more updates as we move forward. If you have any interim enquiries, please feel free to contact us at: adelaide@pol.art
